Our Story

Welcome to
Country Acres

41 wooded acres, a 5-acre lake, and one very special swan — since 1970.

Since 1970

The Beginning

Country Acres Campground was built by its original owners in 1970 on 41 wooded acres in Ravenna, Ohio. For over 50 years, families have been coming to this peaceful corner of northeast Ohio to unplug, reconnect, and make memories on the lake.

A New Chapter

Building the Best Family Campground in Ohio

Two years ago, we took over the park with a simple mission: make Country Acres the best family campground in Ohio — step by step, year by year. Last season, we made big strides in improving the park. This year, we're going even further with a newly built Country Store, a new arts & crafts pavilion, new paddle boats and canoes, new street signs throughout the park, a ping pong area, and a ball field for kickball and wiffle ball. Every improvement is about one thing: giving families a better place to gather and create memories.

The Heart of Country Acres

Meet Henry

Henry the Swan has called Country Acres home for 17 years. He lives here year-round — through summer campfires and winter snowfalls — and has become the beloved mascot of the park.

For campers, Henry is a source of endless joy. Kids wave to him from the dock. Families spot him gliding across the lake at sunset. He's the first thing guests look for when they arrive and the last thing they talk about when they leave.

Henry isn't just a mascot — he's family.
