Country Acres Campground near Hudson, Ohio
Country Acres Campground is about 25 minutes from Hudson, Ohio — thirteen miles east to a real 5-acre lake, cabins, and full-hookup RV sites. It is the closest lake campground to Hudson and an easy base for the Cuyahoga Valley just to the west.
From Hudson the drive is a simple one, mostly a straight run east on State Route 303 through Streetsboro and into the Ravenna area — about thirteen miles to our gate on Minyoung Road. No highway slog, no complicated turns, just an easy half-hour from town to a campsite on the water.
The nearest lake camping to Hudson & the Cuyahoga Valley
Hudson has beautiful downtown streets and quick access to the Cuyahoga Valley, but no campground of its own on the water. Country Acres is the answer twenty-five minutes east: a real 5-acre lake, cabins, full hookups, a pool, and a themed event nearly every weekend. It is close enough for an easy Friday-night escape and far enough to feel like a genuine getaway from Hudson.
It is also a smart base for the Cuyahoga Valley, which sits just to the west of Hudson and has no campground inside it. Sleep on a quiet lake at Country Acres, then drive over for the Scenic Railroad, the towpath trail, and Brandywine Falls. You get the national-park day and a real campsite at night instead of a hotel by the highway.
Everything at the campground is included with your stay — the pool, the lake for fishing and paddling, gem mining, laser tag, the jumping pillow, the snack shack, and the weekend events all summer. It is a full campground a family can afford to enjoy more than once a season, which is exactly why Hudson guests who try one weekend tend to come back.
And you do not need an RV to make it work. With 16 cabins on the property, a Hudson family can camp near the lake with nothing but bedding and food, and friends from town can drive out for a campfire and be home the same night. Thirteen miles from Hudson is close enough that the whole thing feels effortless.
