Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you'd want to know before you book — and a few things you didn't think to ask.

Where is Country Acres Campground located?+
Country Acres is at 9850 Minyoung Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266, in Northeast Ohio. It's about 15 miles from Kent, 30 minutes from Akron, and 50 minutes from Cleveland. Easy off-highway access for RVs of any size.
When is Country Acres open for the season?+
We're open for camping from early May through late October. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day is peak season, with themed events every weekend. Off-peak weekends in May, September, and October offer quieter camping with the lake still in full swing.
How do I make a reservation?+
Reservations are made online through Campspot, our official booking platform. Visit countryacrescamping.com and click any Book Now button, or go directly to campspot.com/book/country-acres-rv-resort. Walk-ins are welcome but weekends and holidays book up early — reserve ahead.
What types of stays do you offer?+
We offer four kinds of stays: cabins (with kitchens and bathrooms), rental trailers (no setup needed — just bring your bags), full-hookup RV sites with 30/50 amp electric and sewer, and grassy tent sites. Many sites are lakefront. Browse all options at countryacrescamping.com/stay.
Are big rigs welcome?+
Yes — Country Acres is fully big-rig friendly. Many of our pull-through and back-in sites accommodate 40+ foot rigs with multiple slideouts. All RV sites have full hookups (water, electric, sewer) and 30 or 50 amp service.
Is Country Acres pet friendly?+
Yes — well-behaved pets are welcome on RV sites, tent sites, and select cabins. We have an off-leash dog park on property. There's no pet fee. We ask that you keep pets leashed in common areas and clean up after them.
Are themed event weekends included with my stay?+
Yes — every themed event weekend is fully included with the cost of any stay. There are no extra tickets, wristbands, or per-event charges. Pirate Weekend, Henry Fest, Carnival Weekend, Color Wars, and all our other themed events are all part of what you're paying for.
Who is Henry the Swan?+
Henry is our resident swan — a real white swan who lives on the lake at Country Acres year-round. Guests meet him while fishing, paddleboating, or sitting by the water. Henry Fest, held in late summer, is the campground's biggest themed weekend in his honor.
What amenities are on the property?+
We have a real lake with fishing, kayaks, and paddleboats; a swimming pool with splash pad; a jumping pillow; basketball court; sand volleyball; gaga ball pit; ball field; ping pong; modern bathhouses with hot showers; a camp store; a snack shack with soft serve ice cream; fire pits at every site; and free WiFi throughout the property.
Is fishing allowed in the lake?+
Yes — fishing is included with your stay. The lake has bass, bluegill, and catfish. Catch and release is encouraged. We sell basic tackle and bait at the camp store, and host a Fishing Tournament Weekend each August with prize categories for every age.
What time is check-in and check-out?+
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early arrivals can park in our day-use lot and use the bathhouse, pool, lake, or other amenities while waiting for your site to be ready. Late check-out is sometimes available — just ask at the office.
Do you offer seasonal sites?+
Yes — we have a six-month seasonal program from May through October. Seasonal sites are currently full for 2026; we maintain a free waitlist that contacts you the moment a site opens. Sign up at countryacrescamping.com/seasonal.
Is the campground family-friendly?+
Country Acres is built around families. Daily activities include arts and crafts, kickball, bingo, outdoor movies, and campfire nights. Every themed weekend has costume parades, contests, and prizes for kids. The pool, splash pad, jumping pillow, and lake activities are kid-favorites all season long.
Is there cell service and WiFi?+
Cell service is solid across all major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile). We also provide free WiFi throughout the campground — strong enough for streaming, video calls, and remote work.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Cancellation policies vary by stay type and season. Full details are sent in your reservation confirmation email and are also visible during the booking process on Campspot. For specific questions, call us at (330) 358-2774.
Do you accept credit cards?+
Yes — we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for reservations, the camp store, and the snack shack. Cash is also accepted at all on-site purchase points.
