Country Acres Campground near Stow, Ohio
Country Acres Campground is about 25 minutes from Stow, Ohio — a short ten-mile drive to a real 5-acre lake, cozy cabins, and full-hookup RV sites. For Stow families it is the closest lake campground to home, and the easiest getaway you can pull off after work on a Friday.
The drive from Stow is a quick one. You head east on State Route 59 through Kent and into the Ravenna area, about ten miles start to finish, then a short hop north to our gate on Minyoung Road. No highway slog, no city driving to fight — an easy trip whether you are towing a trailer or just coming out for the day.
The closest lake camping to Stow
Stow is a great place to raise a family, but it is short on one thing: somewhere close to actually camp on the water. Country Acres fills that gap. Ten minutes past Kent you trade the cul-de-sac for a campsite on a 5-acre lake — close enough to run home for anything you forgot, far enough that it feels like a real trip. A lot of Stow families use it as their standing weekend spot from May through October.
There is plenty to do once you are here, and it is all included with your stay: the swimming pool, the jumping pillow, gem mining, laser tag, the snack shack, fishing and paddling on the lake, and a themed event nearly every weekend all summer. You are not paying à la carte to join the fun — book the site and the weekend is yours.
Because it is so close, Country Acres works for the whole range of Stow camping. First-timers who want an easy trial run without a long haul. Big rigs that need real full hookups. Grandparents in a cabin while the kids tent it a few sites down. Friends from Stow who drive out for a campfire and head home the same night. Twenty-five minutes from Stow makes all of it effortless.
It is the kind of place Stow campers come back to. Most of our repeat guests started with a single weekend, liked how close and how simple it was, and now keep a standing site every summer. When the lake is a ten-mile drive from your driveway, a weekend away stops being a once-a-year event and becomes the thing you do all season.
