Bring your own smoker, your own meat, and your own opinion about who makes the best brisket in Portage County. Friday night you sign up. Saturday you smoke. At six o'clock it gets judged — and then the winner becomes the main dish for the whole campground's pot luck.

The BBQ and smoked meat becomes the main dish for the pot luck after judging. Bring a side dish and your own table setting — that's the whole entry fee.
Questions
Is there an entry fee for the BBQ challenge?
No. There's no entry fee and no prize. You bring your own smoker and your own meat, and the judging at six o'clock settles who's best.
Do I have to compete?
Not at all. Most people don't. Bring a side dish and a table setting for the pot luck and you eat the winning meat like everybody else.
Can I come just for the day?
Yes — the challenge is open to day-pass guests. Day passes are $12 per person, free for children under 4, and capped at $40 for a family of four or more.
What does the weekend cost?
Three nights, Friday to Monday: tent sites from $170, RV sites from $209. There is one cabin left at $560.
Is anything extra?
Lazer Tag in the Pines is ticketed at the Country Store. Everything else on the schedule comes with your site or day pass.
